Prediction

I'm not going out on a limb with this one, but I just want to be the first person to say "I told you so."

The Broncos are going 6-10 this season, if they're lucky.

With any luck, they'll fire Shanahan, hire Marty Schottenheimer (or Bill Cowher), go 11-5 in the 2009-2010 season, and win the Super Bowl. That part is a bit far-fetched, but I think we could have the perfect storm to fire Shanahan. We'll see.

Don't play golf America.

Far-fetched is the appropriate term. You and I both know that The Tan Man isn't going anywhere. As I've stated in the past, only weathermen get to be wrong as often as he. He definitely missed his true calling in life.

My emotions are just as high as yours when it comes to this franchise. I've never been what I would call a die hard fan, but I have Colorado ties and I like to see them win. It's never fun to see someone free ride a situation and that he has done since the departure of number 7. His disrespect of Easy Ed is the source of my biggest beef with him. Here he had one of the most underrated receivers in the league, who's potential was never fully realized, and he treated him like a number 4 receiver. Give me a break. I'd be curious to see a stat on tough catches made and where Ed ranks, he's got to be up there. Ed was one of those players that fans get behind and fuel a team with his grit and determination. The fans certainly realized it, but the dolt never did. That is The Tan Man's biggest problem, he can't see the forest through the trees and he never will.

One can only hope that another lack-luster season will add some note to his poor coaching decisions. Otherwise, maybe next season will...
